Following the successful launch of Chem in 2016 and continuing our commitment to both chemistry and the physical sciences, Cell Press will be expanding Chem’s footprint by launching a new broad-based, high quality, catalysis journal. We are seeking a visionary Editor-in-Chief to lead this initiative.
The Editor-in-Chief will have the unique opportunity to shape a prominent journal covering vibrant areas of heterogeneous catalysis, homogeneous catalysis and biocatalysis, and lead an editorial team according to his or her creative vision. As a respected member of the global research community, the Editor-in-Chief will create a high-impact journal grounded in a strong understanding of the needs of authors, readers, and reviewers from the different catalysis communities. S/he will be responsible for defining the aims, scope, and formats for the journal, building an impressive network of leading researchers working in relevant areas, recruiting exciting and world-leading fundamental and applied studies, and ensuring the quality and value of the journal as a forum for the best research, analysis, and ideas.
The Editor-in-Chief will need to create and develop a broad, impactful, topical and cohesive journal that appeals to a wide community of contemporary international catalysis researchers.
The journal’s strong contribution to the field will complement the premium chemistry and energy journals from Cell Press, Chem, and Joule, as well as the new Cell Press journals Matter (covering materials science) and One Earth (covering sustainability).
