Copy Editor – Newsy




Newsy is looking for a bold copy editor who can jump in and help own a story at any phase. Whether evaluating scripts for packages or shows, this person should leverage excellent editorial judgment in the collaborative process.

The copy editor will work closely with writers and newsroom managers to ensure Newsy's journalism meets a high bar for excellence. They'll edit stories for focus, structure, style, grammar and journalistic standards such as objectivity and fairness. Duties include editing scripts, ticker copy and story metadata. If needed, they may also contribute research that adds heft to the story. This person should be passionate about news, excited about visual storytelling and, above all, a stellar editor. Newsy will consider remote candidates for this role.
