Opus and Amazon Web Services are looking for independent freelance proofreaders/copyeditors with solid PowerPoint skills to join our team to review slide presentations and work with speakers at a large, high-profile tech conference this fall.
Editors based in Las Vegas are preferred, but not required.
PowerPoint experience is a must. The limited-time project requires that you train remotely before the event and that you work onsite in Las Vegas during the event. Travel to the event, and hotel and meals during the event, are covered.
To be considered for the role, you must fully commit to completing your training before the conference and to working onsite in Las Vegas during the conference. Note the proximity of these dates to the Thanksgiving holiday on November 28.
• Remote training includes a remote training session and self-study (8 hours, November 18– November 22).
• Travel to Las Vegas on Friday, Nov 29 with onsite training in Las Vegas is on Saturday, November 30. Work begins on Sunday, December 1 and concludes either Thursday, December 5 or Friday, December 6.
This is a fast-paced project. You are expected to use the client’s resources, which includes service name and legal compliance requirements. Scheduled onsite hours vary from day to day, requiring some flexibility.
