I focus on substantive and copy editing books, although I have done some developmental editing and proofreading. I have a Certificate in Editing from Poynter ACES and have CEUs from Universal Class on copy editing and proofreading. I've worked as a freelance writer for two and a half years and have written several fiction novels awaiting publication. I understand the painstaking time necessary to complete a book and shape it into something publishable.
With my attention to detail and thorough notes and suggestions, I can help an author improve their manuscript prior to publication. I primarily work with authors self-publishing their books, both nonfiction and fiction. I use the Chicago Manual of Style, provide a style sheet, and offer a free three-page edit for prospective clients.
