Maria Siano, PhD, is a copyeditor, writer, and adjunct professor with 23 years of experience in publishing. She is an academic copyeditor of peer-reviewed journals and manuscripts; a copyeditor and editor of novels and non-fiction books; and a copyeditor and proofreader for nonprofit organizations. A former newspaper editor and magazine editor, since 1998 Dr. Siano has taught professional writing, media studies, digital media, branding, and communication courses, both online and in-person, at several institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, Rutgers University, and Bay Path University. She has extensive experience working remotely and in a collaborative, team environment. Dr. Siano holds a PhD in Communication/Media Studies (Rutgers University, 2006); an MA in Communication Arts (William Paterson University, 1998); and a BS in Business Management (Fairleigh Dickinson University, 1993).
