I am an experienced editor and writer offering developmental edits, manuscript evaluations, line editing, copyediting, and fact checking. My professional journey has afforded me a unique set of skills, and I love translating those skills to edits that can provide a new perspective, strengthen voice, or just add some finishing touches! My prior editing experience focused on non-fiction work (primarily strategic intelligence assessments and foreign policy articles), but my true passion is working with fiction writers.
I appreciate all genres, but am most experienced in literary fiction, short stories, and transgressive fiction. I am willing to learn house style guides, but am prepared to edit to current versions of the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and Defense Intelligence Agency Style Guide.
I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and am open to assisting with project management tasks, including managing and editing submissions for regular publications. I also have a B.S. in Forensic and Investigative Science and am happy to take on manuscripts with scientific aspects or crime/horror scenes requiring fact checking or realism evaluations.
