Katie Van Heest, PhD, is an academic editor specializing in the humanities. Her developmental and copyediting services are retained by professors and independent researchers. Through her practice, Tweed Editing, she has edited for university presses, research centers, and scholarly societies. She has a PhD in religion from Claremont and a certificate in editing from the University of Chicago. Katie has served on the boards of the Institute for Signifying Scriptures and Textbook and Academic Authors Association. Judging the Portland Regional Spelling Bee every spring is the most fun she has all year.
