I'm a copyeditor and manuscript consultant with two decades of experience editing poetry, prose, and hybrid forms. I'm particularly interested in literary work that pushes against traditions of usage and syntax, though I'm appreciative, as well, of traditional forms. My process as an editor typically involves extensive line editing combined with general comments and suggestions about the work as a whole. I maintain close contact with authors, giving regular progress updates and do my best to answer questions quickly and thoroughly. I endeavor, too, to cultivate and sustain an atmosphere of kindness and professional respect in my relationships with authors. My motivation as an editor—and as a writer—is an strong and abiding curiosity about the work at hand.
