I have a PhD in History and specialize in Latin American History and the History of Medicine. Early in my career I worked for two publishing houses where I edited non-fiction children's books as well as cookbooks, so I'm comfortable with a wide array of genres. In addition to logging thousands of hours in editing, writing, and research for my dissertation, I have seven years of freelance experience as an editor, writer, and reviewer for print and online media, such as academic encyclopedia, online textbooks, academic book reviews. I'm also a peer-reviewed published author and well-versed in the academic publishing process.
A lifelong learner, I regularly take various types of editing and writing courses in order to hone my skills. I would describe myself as very easy-going, but nonetheless will provide constructive and honest feedback so that your project is in the best shape possible for submission.
