Nonfiction, AP (journalism style), memoir, social good content
I have over two decades in various communications roles, with the second half of those years spent in a nonprofit editing communication and stories for international staff before getting into the journalism field as an editor for 7 years. In 2018 I transitioned from entirely too many "side gigs" to being an editor and writer full time, freelancing for everything from multinational companies like Amway and Gordon Foods to local art organizations to assisting with full manuscripts in everything from social good to food to children's picture books. I specialize in helping people with incredible stories that aren't natural storytellers--and making sure their message shines.
One author, coming back to me for every new book assignment, had this to say:
“Holly has an innate ability to see a story and then shape that story to maximize its potential for impact for the reader or viewer. I got to really see Holly’s strong editorial and content creation abilities in action. She is an intuitive and compassionate listener, but is brazen with the red pen... She was the only person I really trusted to review my copy- such soul-baring work for a new writer."
