Erica Warren is the owner of Words with Erica, an editorial service focused on helping writers publish the most excellent content possible. She believes that words can be powerful tools to tell stories that change lives, but these tools must be wielded properly to have the greatest impact.
Erica has spent most of her life gobbling up stories for fun and has always had a natural ability to find and correct errors, but she has also devoted many years of study to sharpen her skills. She received a bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing from John Brown University. She has also completed several proofreading and editing courses with Proofread Anywhere, Knowadays, the Editorial Freelancers Association, and ACES: The Society for Editing.
While Erica works with fiction writers of all types and genres, her passion is helping indie fantasy authors. As a YA fantasy writer herself, she understands the other side of the editing process as well. She has studied The Chicago Manual of Style extensively but is also familiar with other major style guides.
