Hello! I'm Emma. I'm an avid skier, mom to a mischievous black lab named Elizabeth Bennett, and lifelong word nerd.
I've been in the editing world for nearly a decade, working on in-house creative teams and as a freelancer.
In-house positions I've held include: Sr. Copyeditor at Bird Rides, Inc., a global micromobility company based in Santa Monica, CA (2.5 years); Sr. Copyeditor at Rue Gilt Groupe, an ecommerce company in Boston, MA; and Associate Director of Copyediting at Ramsey Solutions, a financial education organization based near Nashville, TN.
I've worked with an array of mediums, including manuscripts, articles, reference materials, workbooks, technical proposals, curricula, marketing materials, emails, and on-site copy.
My favorite thing about editing/proofing is the opportunity to collaborate with writers and other editors to make a piece of writing the best it can be. I look forward to potentially working together!
