Academic writing (I specialize in art history and education); websites and marketing materials (e.g. press releases, artist statements, e-newsletters); applications (e.g. personal statements, essays).
I am a freelance copy editor with over 20 years of experience and a demonstrated record of success. I think strategically about a project’s overall organization, messaging, and design while meticulously tending to its grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
I am originally from Maine and earned my B.A. from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. While there, I majored in art history and also took courses in philosophy, anthropology, sociology, psychology, and Japanese.
I hold master’s degrees from UCLA (art history) and Hunter College, CUNY (secondary education, social studies). While earning these degrees, I studied topics in U.S. history including immigration and feminism.
I have successfully completed copy editing projects for art museums, international magazines, a newspaper, several non-profits, a private school, and graduate students.
