The Meticulous Type
Fiction, nonfiction, corporate communications/marketing, legal documents, websites, blogs
I am dedicated to nurturing clear, resonant writing while respecting each writer’s voice and style. I have been writing and editing throughout my careers as an editor and former attorney. I am a graduate of the University of Washington’s Editing Certificate Program and was a teaching assistant for the school’s copyediting class. I am a member of the Northwest Editors Guild, the Editorial Freelancers Association, ACES, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and the Association for Women in Communications.
I enjoy working on a wide variety of projects, fiction and nonfiction, for nonprofit and for-profit organizations and individuals. These projects have included books, short stories, memoirs, magazines, newsletters, marketing materials, academic textbooks, websites, blogs, legal documents, press releases, grant/fellowship applications, and resumes. I am proficient in The Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press Stylebook, and The Bluebook.
