Anne N. Connor, Science Writer, LLC
Science, Academic, Medical, Environmental
I am a science writer and editor with a master’s degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University. I have a strong work ethic, excellent writing and editing skills, and a perfect track record for deadlines. My editing experience is in science articles for a general audience, academic research papers and textbooks, grant proposals, and science communication. I am seeking contract work.
I currently serve as the founding editor-in-chief for a Johns Hopkins student magazine, The Science Writer (https://thesciencewriter.org), leading a nine-person editorial board. I also support Johns Hopkins research faculty by editing research papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Previously, I served as a team leader and quality control editor for the Ask a Scientist COVID-19 question-and-answer portal hosted by the Federation of American Scientists. Additionally, I have over 20 years of experience writing and editing grant proposals. I am familiar with multiple style guides, especially APA 7th Edition and the Chicago Manual of Style.
