Annalisa Zox-Weaver

Academic, Non-Fiction, Technical

I have been a freelance copyeditor in the humanities and social sciences for twenty years. I work with journals, presses, and scholars in many capacities: proofreading, copyediting, developmental editing, formatting, and preparing articles, dissertations, and manuscripts for publication. I am an expert in APA 6 and 7 as well as in CMS and MLA.

I have 20 years of academic editing experience and hold an MA in English from Claremont Graduate University and a PhD in English from University of Southern California.

I have served—or am currently serving—as copyeditor for Catholic Education: A Journal of Inquiry and Practice, Native American Studies Journal, Contemporaneity: Historical Presence in Visual Culture, the Journal of Early Modern Cultural Studies, and Humanity. I was associate editor of Women’s Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal (out of Claremont Graduate University) for six years. I freelance copyedit for Michigan University Press, Tennessee University Press, Princeton University Press, Columbia University Press, Alabama University Press, and more.

My own work has been published with Cambridge University Press, Ashgate, and South Carolina University Press, and in a range of academic journals (Modernism/Modernity, New German Critique, Modern Intellectual History, Pacific Coast Philology, and others).

Thank you very much!
