ACES: The Society for Editing is proud to announce Jehan “Gigi” Sutton as the new executive director.
Sutton is joining ACES following her role as the executive director for multiple client associations at an association management firm. She has worked for over 15 years in the association/nonprofit industry and has extensive experience in governance, strategic planning, volunteer development, budgeting, membership, and more. Sutton earned her MBA from Western Governors University, where she double majored in operation management and management consulting.
“Gigi is a strong leader, and her experience fits perfectly with where ACES is right now,” said Sara Ziegler, board president. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to our organization.”
Sutton will oversee ACES’ daily operations, including managing staff members and working with the ACES Board of Directors on strategic planning. She will also play an integral part in planning the annual conference and other events.
Sutton lives in the Chicago area. She is president of the Gilberts Town Center Homeowners Association and has volunteered for over 15 years with Hands of Peace, a nonprofit organization focusing on peace in the Middle East. When not working and volunteering, Sutton loves traveling, cooking, watching ball games, and spending quality time with her husband and four-year-old daughter.
