Abbi Booth officially joined the ACES team in May 2018 when she was hired as Operations Manager. It didn’t take long for Abbi to be promoted to Executive Director to help lead the organization.
Abbi came to ACES with five years of association experience, most recently working with the Society for Professional Journalists and managing ACES’ conferences. During her time on staff, Abbi expanded the organization from one staff member to three, and she planned ACES’ national conferences, including navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic and moving both the 2020 and 2021 events to an online format. Abbi was also one of the driving forces behind launching The ACES Academy and helping to shape our education and training to what it is today.
“Abbi did a phenomenal job leading ACES over the past three years, and she has set up the organization brilliantly for the future with the staff she hired and cultivated,” said Sara Ziegler, ACES executive committee president. “We'll miss Abbi so much, but we're incredibly excited for her as she takes the next steps in her career.”
The board will be working over the next few months to fill the executive director position, but “ACES is in great hands,” Ziegler said, with Kim Lawyer, the communication manager, and Ashly Stewart, the training and education manager.
