ACES 24th National Conference - Canceled

April 7 Update - All conference refunds have been processed. Please note it may take a few days for the refund to appear back on the card used at registration. If you requested your registration to be transferred to 2021, we are now working on those. Once the registration transfer has been complete, you will receive a new confirmation email.

March 30 Update - We appreciate your patience while we work to issue refunds for the ACES National Conference. We began processing refunds on March 23 and we are still working on these. If you have not yet received your refund, please know that these are still being processed.

March 17 Update - As the entire country has watched the COVID-19 pandemic develop, we at ACES: The Society for Editing have been waiting for guidance on gatherings and working with the hotel that was set to host our National Conference at the end of April. With the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees, sponsors, and staff in mind, and after much discussion, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the ACES 2020 National Conference.

We are so disappointed that we won’t be able to see you in Salt Lake City, but this is the best way forward for all involved. We cannot thank you enough for your support of this conference. We know you have a choice when it comes to the different events you attend, and we thank you for choosing to attend the ACES National Conference.

We hope you continue to join us for future conferences and are looking forward to seeing everyone in Atlanta in 2021.

Online Conference Availability

We are working to put together an online option of recorded sessions for members and non-members. We had already been considering this option for future events, and we’re excited to speed up the process and continue to bring essential training to you.

We will send you additional information as soon as it becomes available.

Registration Refund

We are committed to providing full refunds to all who registered, and we will begin issuing those refunds on Monday, March 23.

With more than 800 attendees registered for the conference, our email responses may have a slight delay. We appreciate your understanding and kindness.

Professional Development Opportunities in 2020

In addition to the conference, ACES offers a number of professional development opportunities and ways to connect. We hope you are able to join us for at least one of these opportunities this year.

Thank you for your continued support of ACES. We look forward to more opportunities to serve you.

Sara Ziegler ACES President

March 11 Update - The ACES Boot Camp on March 27, Tools for When You're Just Getting Started as a Freelance Editor, has been rescheduled to Oct. 16, 2020. All registered attendees will be contacted with additional information.
