The American Copy Editors Society’s Board of Directors has finalized the sites of ACES’ national conferences for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

The society will return to Chicago in 2018, April 26-28. ACES last held its national conference in Chicago in 2003. The 22nd national conference will be held at the Palmer House Hilton (seen above).

ACES’ 2019 conference location will be the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island, from March 28-30, and the 2020 national conference site will be the Hilton Salt Lake City Center hotel in Utah from April 30-May 2. It will be the first time ACES will host a conference in each of those cities.

The society’s board is meeting Oct. 14-15 in St. Petersburg, Fla., the site of the 2017 conference March 23-25. Both are at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront hotel downtown near the Poynter Institute headquarters and the Dali Museum. During its annual meeting, the Board of Directors plans future programs and initiatives.

The American Copy Editors Society puts on the premier editing conference each year, with quality training from recognized experts in the field. Participants have the chance to network and socialize with hundreds of  peers.

More than 630 people attended the 2016 conference in Portland, Oregon, and the training included 60 educational sessions.
