Laura Wackwitz is an author, freelance editor, and writing coach working with both creative and academic writers. Her Ph.D. is in mass communication from the journalism school at the University of Georgia. She runs a small, independent publishing company and, together with her family, an even smaller eco-friendly Christmas tree farm. If she were smarter, she says she’d have designed both operations as one unit and called it something like “Trees and Books.” At the time, though, she thought Cable Creek Publishing had a nicer ring to it . . . and her trees don’t read that much anyway!
