At ACES: The Society for Editing, we’re dedicated to improving the quality of editing, proofreading and the working lives of editors.
We can’t do what we do without you. That’s why we’re participating in Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving back, giving you the opportunity to join thousands of others in supporting a cause close to your heart. We hope you’ll choose ACES. Giving Tuesday is a perfect time for you to join the scores of donors who have already given generously this year to the ACES Education Fund or to add to your previous gift.
By giving, you help ensure the future of our profession. The Education Fund awards scholarships to college students who plan to pursue editing as a career. ACES will honor six aspiring editors for the 2017-18 academic year, bringing the total to 99 scholarships awarded since 1999.
Most recently, the donations of friends and fans of the late Washington Post Copy Editor Bill Walsh have enabled us to endow a new annual scholarship to ensure that his legacy goes on indefinitely.
Please consider the Education Fund as you step back from Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and help a cause you believe in.
Donate $19.97 in honor of ACES’ founding year, or donate what you can, to show your support for everything that ACES: The Society for Editing stands for. We – and the next generation of copy editors – appreciate your generosity.
